We've begun our Varnish finish
program. We've been working on this a long time and holy cats! -
It's worth the effort and the wait. The tone on these instruments
makes women laugh, children cry, and men holler!
Seriously though, the tone that is coming out of these hand rubbed spirit
varnish instruments is unbelievable! This is a non-catalyzed
varnish. Sure, it's more involved and costs more in labor than
a standard nitro-cellulose lacquer finish, but the results are stunning.

"I have had my varnished Weber Big Sky for
about a month now. All I can say (along with everyone else I have shown
it to) is WOW! This instrument is absolutely killer. The varnish finish
looks and feels awesome. The sound quality of this instrument
is everything I could ever ask for and more. It had tons of volume right
out of the box and it has continued to get better as I play it in. It has
just the tone I was looking for...growling bass and singing highs. I
would definitely recommend considering the extra time and money to upgrade
to varnish when having a new mando built...you won't be sorry!"
