I had my choice of any mandolin I wanted and I chose my Weber Special
Edition after comparing it side by side with other instruments. I chose
my particular Weber based on the full range of sound that it provided
from the rich lows to the ringing highs, and of course its exceptionally
good looks. Generally it is used for the good ol' gospel bluegrass songs
the band I belong to plays at many different events and venues around
our hometown of Beavercreek, Ohio. Also, every Sunday I play it in my
church's praise band where we play a mix of traditional hymns and the
more up to date praise songs as well as a bit of bluegrass on occasion.
No matter if I take the lead or sit back and hit my off beats, it plays
as well as any mandolin I have ever played and it sounds great.
