Nick Pyzow (pronounced "Pie-zoe") began his fascination with guitars when
he first saw the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show. Graduating from a
plastic guitar to a real one, Nick began his professional career in music
in 1983 with the release of his first album, Right At Night, on
Asfab Records. After extensive touring and local live shows, he saw
his first single, Tears Of Rage b/w You Need Someone Like Me
chosen as "Pop Pick" in both Billboard and Cashbox magazines. With a
few fans and a bit of critical acclaim on his side, he formed a band and
released his second album for Asfab, The Dancers Let Me Down in
1987. The video for the single Tomorrow Night received
airplay on MTV as well as local and regional cable stations. Now opening
for national acts at clubs and concert venues in the U/S., Nick released
his third album, Adobe and Diamonds in 1990 to rave reviews from
critics and audiences alike. His live show was now a combination of
the full-band sound and a more stripped down sound with just solo acoustic
instruments and percussion. His fourth album, Torchlight saw
his winning awards from the California Country Music Association for Video
of the Year, Song of the Year, and Album of the year in 1994. He is
currently working on completing his fifth album for Asfab, tentatively
titled I Was Like...And She Was all... which will feature his Weber
custom Bitterroot mandolin. |
