I've owned two Flatirons in my life but when I bought my Weber Fern at the
first of the year (2003), it changed my life. I finally found the
mandolin of my dreams. With it's deep guitar-like bass on the low
end to the clear bell-like treble, it's a true joy to play and to listen
to. The sound is perfect when I play fiddle tunes with my family and
friends in the local San Diego mountains near the town of Julian.
The fit and finish on my fern is near perfect. I have never seen
such detailed work on a mandolin at any cost. Many thanks to all the
good folks at Sound To Earth. I love this mandolin! It will be
passed down.
