Donovan McCain has been a
cast member of the Thacker Mountain Radio Show for three years. He is
seen
on mandolin, lead
guitar and vocals.
Despite
his young
age he has made quite
a name for himself.
As a member of the show, he has performed on stage with Marty Stuart, the
Del McCoury Band,
Bobby Whitlock of Derek and the Dominoes, and the Kudzu
Kings.
His wild Irish reels, beautiful Celtic airs
and his talent for musical improvisation showcase his mandolin skills.
His mandolin
style is Celtic with a large dose of Django Reinhardt gypsy influence.
An active songwriter,
he has performed his music on live
radio and television.
