In short, I'm a college grad, former National Guardsman (50th Armoured
Division), husband and father to Fran & Kobie. In my spare time I
work as a corporate finance VP for a major Wall Street brokerage firm in
NYC. I recently picked up the mandolin because my daughter loves
the sound and it takes up less time than surfing or skiing. I've now
been playing for 8 months. My musical taste is very eclectic but I
love newgrass music (Nickel Creek / David Grisman). My long term
musical goal is to transcribe the music of Bob Marley, Counting Crows and
the Goo-Goo Dolls to the mandolin.
I chose the Weber Gallatin after reading all the rave reviews on
Mandolincafe.com. After I got my Gallatin and played it, I was blown
away by the volume and tone. It's a quality instrument, and you have
a life long fan. |
