Founding member of two of Atlantic Canada's most influential
bands: Rawlins Cross -
Blending the music of Newfoundland and Nova Scotia with contemporary
sounds, Rawlins Cross toured extensively both nationally and
internationally from the late 1980s through the 90s. Along with
brother Geoff, Dave was the driving artistic force behind this band,
contributing arranging skills and over half of the group's original
materials.
Figgy Duff
Formed in the early 1970s and continuing in various incarnations up
until 1993, "The Duff" changed the way Newfoundlanders approached their
traditional music. In this highly original and creative environment,
Dave went from the provincial level to national and international acclaim
while giving a driving instrumental presence to the music on mandolin,
bass and guitar. |
