I love my custom Alder
#2 mandola (serial
number 008407). This
'dola is absolutely
beautiful and a complete
joy to play.
As for me... I'm in my
late 30s and after
recovering from being in
a Rock band I am spending
my time playing jams and
gigs in and around the
San Joachin Valley in
California. These days
I play Bluegrass,
Old-Timey, Jazz, Blues,
and Folk; and my Alder #2
is versatile enough to be
useful in almost every
situation. It goes with me,
along with a mandolin and
a guitar, to every gig and
every jam, and I always
find a good reason to pull
it out and play it.
I think the photographer
caught me playing the
Christmas carol, "Joy to
the World."
