Originally from Mississippi, then after a 20+ year
career in the Navy, I settled in New England (Strafford,
New Hampshire) and found a great mess of bluegrass. Having been a
rhythm guitar player for many years, my band "The New England Bluegrass
Band" decided I should give mandolin a shot. I've been at it now for
about 9 months. Not turning back. Still very much a rhythm player (as
well as handling lead vocal duties) but do pick lead on some tunes here at
home and just love the mandolin.
