My mom showed me three chords on her
acoustic guitar when I was in sixth grade. Thirty-two years later, here
I am, having been in many rock and blues bands, traditional folk groups,
and various music projects. I can't imagine not having music in my
life. Out of curiosity or just plain necessity, I've acquired and
learned to play several instruments. I love and play them all, but this
Weber Hyalite mandola has managed to secure a very special place in my
heart and soul. I'm in awe over the design and construction of this
instrument. No doubt it's heirloom quality. Everything about it's
physical aspects is, without exaggeration, flawless. When I placed the
order, though, I was most concerned about the sound. I chose
the mandola for it's deeper, richer tone and thought it would be perfect
for the various types of folk music I play. I was not
disappointed. The first thing I did when I opened the case was to tap
lightly on the top. It actually produced a note! This instrument
doesn't play, it sings, and with a voice of such richness. Thank you so
much, people of Sound To Earth, for creating this instrument. You
somehow carved a soul into it. It's a work of art that has become a
part of me. Also, special thanks to Paula Jean for answering every
crazy question I had. What patience you have. Peace and perfect health
to all of you.
